2008 NYSGE Florence Lefcourt Award

Description/Objective

The ASGE Foundation and the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (NYSGE) announce that they are currently accepting applications for the Florence Lefcourt Award to support collaborative projects in the areas of endoscopic research and educational outreach in the New York region. For 2008, the $10,000 NYSGE award is designated for public education projects. The 2009 award will support research. This award will alternate annually between public education and research initiatives, and will be administered by the ASGE Foundation.

Eligibility

Physicians must be members of BOTH the NYSGE and ASGE, and in practice or on full-time staff at an NYSGE-affiliated institution.

  • Public education project description and proposed budget
  • ***NYSGE letter of support***
    This is a mandatory requirement, applications that do not include an NYSGE letter of support will not be considered.

Note: The ASGE Public Relations Committee will review applications and make recommendations to the ASGE Foundation Board of Trustees, who will make the final decision.

Deadline

Applications must be received no later than Thursday, January 3, 2008. Late submissions will not be considered. The award will be announced and funds distributed in February 2008.
