The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy offers you the chance to participate in a very special, first of its kind immersion course in endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). The course, entitled

ESD and POEM: Immersion and Assessment with the Asian Masters,

provides participants the opportunity to learn the most advanced technique in mucosal resection as taught by highly skilled experts in ESD.

For established endoscopists, there have been few opportunities for ESD training in the U.S., until now. The ASGE ESD and POEM course offers the largest team of outstanding Asian Masters ever assembled in the U.S.

This two-day course, which will be held at the new state-of-the-art ASGE Institute for Training and Technology (IT&T), will provide a comprehensive experience in ESD which will take advanced endoscopists from theory to hands-on practice of ESD

Course highlights:

  • Faculty presentations covering indications for ESD and differing methods of the technique
  • Demonstrations of these techniques by the ESD masters using ex vivo and live animal models
  • Intensive hands-on experience with expert faculty
  • Exposure to aspects of ESD never before taught  in the US, including treatment of GI bleeding during ESD using devices including the hemostatic forceps and clips
  • Video case demonstration of the Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy technique (P.O.E.M) with leading  experts
  • Opportunity to obtain one-on-one skills assessment with a faculty member following the course, along with feedback on specific areas for improvement.

This course is designed for advanced GI endoscopists, surgeons, and others in the GI field who are interested in increasing their knowledge of the most advanced technique in mucosal resection. Unlike other ESD and POEM courses, this ASGE course involves intense hands-on sessions that will challenge participants.

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn from known masters of ESD.

Registration is limited to ensure ample opportunity for hands-on experience.
