The Active membership category is for individuals who can present documented evidence of successful completion of an accredited training program that includes gastrointestinal endoscopy, administered by physicians and/or surgeons, during a fellowship in an adult or pediatric gastroenterology (or surgical residency) training program including at least one of the following: upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, laparoscopy, colonoscopy or endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography.

The applicant must be sponsored by an Active or Senior member of the Society. If Board Certified in GI the sponsor will be waived for Active applicants. Board certification information must be included on the application.

Annual Dues: $445 + a one-time $100 initiation fee when you first join.

The membership review process takes approximately three to five weeks. While awaiting a final decision from the Board, candidates may enjoy benefits as a Provisional Member.
