June 1, 2020: ASGE CURRENT PHASE AS OF JUNE 2020: PHASE 3
ASGE’s education and training facility offers a safe environment for participants to develop and improve their skills through sustained deliberate self-practice and appropriate feedback. A safe learning environment has never been more important than today. As you prepare for programs, ASGE is committed to providing you with a safe environment that aligns with protocols as a result of COVID-19 and beyond.
ASGE’s continued focus on an educational environment that promotes the health safety of our learners and visitors are based upon five phases. Each phase has educational offerings that span from virtual, on-site and a hybrid approach while based upon guidelines outlined by the CDC, OSHA and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). See below highlights of each phase:
As of June 1, 2020, Illinois is in Phase 3 of the plan
PHASE 1: Rate of infection is high and rapidly increasing; ASGE office and training center is closed during this time; No onsite education or other activities allowed. ASGE’s virtual options sole focus. Contact ASGE for more information.
PHASE 2: Rate of infection is slowing, moving toward a flat or downward trajectory; No onsite education or other activities allowed. ASGE’s virtual options sole focus. Contact ASGE for more information.
PHASE 3: Rate of infection has consistently slowed and downward trajectories are reported; ASGE office and training facility is open with restrictions; Daily screening protocol required upon entering ASGE facility with face-mask and social distancing requirements enforced. Smaller meeting sizes allowed; ASGE’s virtual options remain a focus in combination with limited onsite meetings. Call ASGE for more information.
PHASE 4: Rate of infection consistently declining based upon reported COVID-19 related hospital admissions trends over 14 days or more. ASGE office and training facility remains open; Daily screening protocol continues to be required upon entering ASGE facility with face-mask and social distancing requirements enforced. Larger onsite education or other activities available (based upon guidance from the IDPH); ASGE’s virtual options a focus in combination with onsite meetings. Call ASGE for more information.
PHASE 5: Rate of infection is very low or eliminated over a sustained time, controlled by approved effective treatments. ASGE office fully operational to employees and public. New safety protocol as required in place. Onsite education and other activities fully open with no limitations. ASGE’s offers hybrid options along with virtual-only and onsite meetings.
