ASGE is continuing its tradition of offering a comprehensive review of endoscopic technique and clinical management for fellows in their first year of a US-based GI fellowship. Upper and lower endoscopy and case-based endoscopic intervention form the basis of the curriculum. Foreign body management, diagnostic upper endoscopy, and advanced techniques will also be addressed. The program offers a unique hands-on training session using ex-vivo animal models at the ASGE’s Institute for Training and Technology (IT&T). The course begins on Friday with didactic sessions and a fellows/faculty networking reception completes day one. On Saturday, the didactic session and hands-on sessions continue until 5pm. There is no registration fee for this course however, ASGE membership ($75 for a 3 year membership) is required and fellows will be responsible for covering their own hotel (2 night stay) and travel expenses (including airfare and ground transportation) to and from the course.
