A Peer Mentoring Circle for Women in Gastroenterology

Hosted by the ASGE Women's Committee

Scopes & Stories is a peer-led mentoring circle for women, created to foster meaningful connections, professional growth, and shared learning among gastroenterologists.

This intimate program brings together 10 participants per circle for meaningful, confidential discussions. Cohorts meet monthly for one hour over a six-month period, allowing participants to build trust, share experiences, and support one another through common professional and personal challenges.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Open to current active ASGE members for the 2026 membership year
  • This cohort is open to early career (1-5 years out of fellowship), mid-career (6-15 years out of fellowship) and senior career physicians
  • Participants must commit to attending all six sessions
  • Limited to 10 participants per circle

By accepting a place in the Scopes & Stories Mentorship Circle, participants agree to the following:

  • Maintain active ASGE membership for the 2026 membership year
  • Commit to attending all six scheduled sessions
  • Participate actively and respectfully in group discussions
  • Uphold confidentiality and create a safe, judgment-free environment
  • Engage with peers in a professional, supportive manner

Scopes & Stories is designed as a trust-based mentoring experience. Consistent attendance and thoughtful participation are essential to the success of the circle and the experience of all participants.
