Invitation for applications
The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) announces the search for the new Editor-in-Chief of VideoGIE®.  In 2016, ASGE introduced VideoGIE as an open access, online only journal, publishing original, single-blinded peer-review video case reports and case series of endoscopic procedures used in the study, diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases. 

Gottumukkala S. Raju, MD, FASGE, the current editor, will complete his term on December 31, 2020. There will be a four-month overlap period with the new Editor, starting January 1, 2021. Editors of VideoGIE serve one, five-year term. The editor recommendation is confirmed by the ASGE Governing Board.

Intent to Apply/Nominations
If you intend to apply or intend to nominate someone, please send the candidate’s full name and institution by July 10, 2020, to the journal's editorial manager, Stephanie Kinnan, Downers Grove, Illinois, United States by email at: skinnan@asge.org. Applications must be received by August 14, 2020, and should include the following items:

  • Current curriculum vitae.
  • Statement articulating your interest in the position. This should include your vision for developing the VideoGIE’s prestige, obtaining an impact factor, and reputation.
  • Letter of support from your institution.
  • Conflict of interest disclosure.
