ASGE Condemns Attacks Against Asian Americans

ASGE is deeply saddened by the deadly attacks in Georgia and outraged by the violence against Asian Americans across the nation. The unfortunate reality is that thousands of hate crimes directed at Asian Americans have been reported since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. These events have shattered the sense of security throughout the Asian American community. Xenophobia and racist behavior in this country has no place and must end.

ASGE stands in solidarity with its Asian American and Pacific Islander members and is committed to ending policies and practices that promote or perpetuate racial, ethnic and gender bias in our profession, in medicine and in our health care system.
