Sign up today and get ready to expand your knowledge!

Participants will be able to:

  • Compare and contrast important clinical issues on treatment algorithms that classify GERD into reflux esophagitis and non-erosive reflux disease, and the clarification of treatment algorithms based on the severity of reflux esophagitis
  • Understand common workup and management of esophageal cancers, including obstruction and bleeding
  • Discuss various endoscopic and surgical evaluations of common upper GI disease states and cancer
  • Identify trends in the advancement of endoscopy and surgical approaches for the diagnostic and therapeutic roles in motility disorders
  • Assess the use of computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) tools and systems in upper GI disorders, including gastroesophageal reflux disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, and motility disorders

Continuing Medical Education

The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. ASGE designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ASGE Outcome-Based Education Level

The Clinical & Surgical Management of Upper GI Disorders is designed to meet ASGE’s Outcome Level 3b Learning (Procedural Knowledge), on an anticipated outcome-based education (OBE) scale. ASGE’s OBE means starting with a clear picture of what is important for participants to gain from the educational activity to be able to do following participation, then organizing the program, instruction and objectives to make sure the anticipated educational delivery ultimately happened.
