ASGE Abstract Awards

Submissions for ASGE's Abstract Awards are open through December 12, 2025

You’ve spent countless hours conducting research, compiling data and drafting your abstract. Your work strengthens understanding, elevates clinical practice and helps shape the future of digestive disease research. ASGE’s Abstract Awards celebrate the dedication, precision and perseverance it takes to transform scientific research into meaningful discoveries. Submit your abstract information (abstract name, submission number and author) to apply to be considered to receive one of ASGE’s Abstract Awards.

Michael Levy Endowed Training Award

Dr. Michael Levy was a dedicated educator and champion for advancing Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS). In recognition of his legacy and generous support of the ASGE Foundation, ASGE created a named award to promote EUS education, research and training. This annual award invites eligible fellows to submit EUS-focused abstracts for presentation consideration at DDW.

One $1,000 travel award will be provided, along with public recognition at DDW and during the awards reception. The stipend is intended to support travel, lodging and meal expenses. Conference registration will also be arranged for you. The recipient will also have the opportunity to present during the EUS SIG meeting and will receive complimentary access to EUS training videos through GI LEAP.

ASGE Diversity Awards

Since 2007, the ASGE Diversity Awards have recognized outstanding research focused on gastrointestinal diseases affecting underserved/underrepresented populations. Two $1,000 awards are presented to first authors whose abstracts/research address health disparities or issues relevant to communities such as women, racial/ethnic minorities and the LGBTQ+ population. These awards are based solely on the merit and relevance of the research in these populations, and not on the submitters’ race, ethnicity, gender or other personal characteristics.

ASGE EQuIP Award

Endoscopy Quality Improvement Project (EQuIP) Prizes are designed to promote quality improvement projects that have the potential to transform quality in endoscopy. Two $1,000 awards are given to the first authors for abstracts relevant to quality improvement projects led by trainees.
