Biography

Irving Waxman, MD, is a professor in the department of internal medicine for Rush University System for Health with a conjoint appointment in the department of surgery who specializes in endoscopic ultrasound and interventional endoscopy. His interventional gastroenterology work focuses on state-of-the-art endoscopic procedures for esophageal, gastric, lung, pancreatic and rectal tumors, as well as endoluminal resection and endosonography guided therapy. He also has a research portfolio and publications in the same fields with device development as well as involvement in multiple clinical trials.

Dr. Waxman’s multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach to clinical care and research has led to advancements in the field of gastroenterology. Furthermore, he enjoys a collaborative relationship with referring providers and colleagues resulting in the utmost quality and attention provided to patients.
