Dr. Victoria Gómez is Associate Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Florida, with a focus and expertise in interventional endoscopy. Dr. Gómez
is also Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Mayo Clinic, with a focus of overseeing research and scholarly activities for the residents in training. Her expertise includes all areas of advanced endoscopy including
diagnostic and staging of oncological diseases of the gastrointestinal and biliopancreatic tract, management of chronic calcific pancreatitis as well as non-surgical weight loss therapies and management of obesity-related diseases and complications/issues
following bariatric surgery. Dr. Gómez has clinical and research experience in advanced imaging, biliary tract diseases and primary weight loss and metabolic therapies. She also serves as an Associate Editor for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy journal
and is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM). Dr. Gómez currently is the Chair of the ASGE Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
