The course is designed to elevate the role and impact of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in gastroenterology and endoscopy. This comprehensive two-day virtual program provides APPs with practical skills, advanced clinical knowledge, and collaborative strategies to optimize patient care in GI practice.

Whether a new APP, new to GI, or want to gain more clinical knowledge in GI and hepatology, through expert-led sessions, case-based discussions, and interactive panels, participants will gain valuable insights into diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, hepatology, and complex GI conditions. Attendees will also explore career development and practice management essentials.

Day One

Participants will be able to:

  • Review core skills in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and EUS
  • Learn best practices for consults, informed consent, sedation, and peri-procedural management
  • Interpret imaging and pathology through case-based radiology reviews
  • Strengthen APP career development and collaborative practice with MDs

Day Two

Participants will be able to:

  • Discuss managing complex liver disease, pancreatitis, and related complications using case-based approaches
  • Diagnose and treat common GI disorders: IBD, diarrhea, constipation, GERD, dysphagia, and GI bleeding
  • Improve interpretation of pathology and radiology reports for accurate clinical decisions
  • Engage in interactive panels and tough case discussions to refine multidisciplinary problem-solving
