John R. Saltzman, MD, FASGE
Master Endoscopist Award

John R. Saltzman, MD, FASGE

"It is a tremendous honor to become a Master of the ASGE. I am intrinsically motivated to improve patient care by advancing our understanding of how to better manage GI diseases through research and to share this knowledge through writing and teaching. I have found that the more I give, the more I gain, both professionally and personally, through the many incredible people I have been fortunate to work with throughout my career and the patients I have had the privilege of treating."

Dr. Saltzman is a Professor of Medicine, part-time, at Harvard Medical School and a Senior Physician in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endoscopy at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) in Boston, Massachusetts. His roles at BWH include the Director of Endoscopy and the Director of the BWH Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship Program. Dr. Saltzman has been actively involved in the education of more than 100 general GI and 30 advanced endoscopy fellows.
