Linda S. Lee, MD, FASGE
Master Endoscopist Award

Linda S. Lee, MD, FASGE

"Being recognized as a Master Endoscopist by the ASGE is truly an incredible honor, one I never would have imagined when I began my journey as an advanced endoscopy fellow, learning from giants in our field including David Carr-Locke, a Past President of ASGE, and Bill Brugge. For me, this represents far more than a professional milestone as it reflects an ongoing journey shaped by mentorship, teamwork, a deep sense of responsibility to our patients and to our field.

What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it comes from my peers who are  incredible physicians and endoscopists, and a continual source of learning for me. It inspires me and reminds me that mastery is not a destination, but an ongoing process of learning, reflection, and growth guided by an unwavering commitment to excellence.

This award also reflects the many people who have shaped me along the way. I am deeply grateful to fantastic colleagues around the world who have mentored me, collaborated with me, and provided opportunities to both learn and teach. I am equally thankful to my wonderful trainees, who allow me to be part of their journeys and challenge me every day to grow as a clinician, educator, and lifelong learner.

This recognition would not be possible without the extraordinary team of physician assistants, nurses, technicians, and schedulers with whom I am fortunate to work daily. Their dedication, skill, and compassion make excellence in care possible. Any recognition I receive is a reflection of their commitment and teamwork.

Above all, I am indebted to our patients who place their trust in us during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. That trust represents the greatest privilege of our profession and continues to inspire me to be better, both as an endoscopist and as a person."
