“I am profoundly honored to be recipient of this wonderful award and recognition. My path to becoming a physician and gastroenterologist has been heavily influenced by amazing mentorship and the positive experiences my mentors and instructors have provided for me. I took advantage of numerous opportunities to grow as a student, clinician and person throughout my medical career. Giving back to my community has always been a priority for me- whether it be through patient care, teaching, or mentoring. I remain committed to medical education and training, and contributing to society so that all persons can have the opportunity to study and practice the art of medicine.”
