Low CRC Screening Volume Pathway

Attaining honoree status in the ASGE Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program (EURP) is an educational and team-building journey facilities undertake to ensure policies, procedures, processes, and systems are in place to support the delivery of high-quality, safe, patient-centered care. This includes credentialing, staff training and competency assessment, and quality improvement activities. The journey culminates in application completion and submission and then a review and approval process. Timing from application submission to award is variable, typically taking one to three months, when all materials are received as complete.

The Ambulatory Surgery Center/Hospital Outpatient Department/Office application pathway is for settings that provide endoscopic services in the United States that have ≥ 5% of colonoscopy volume being colorectal cancer screening procedures.

First-time applicants to the program must have at least one unit representative (physician or nurse) take the Improving Quality and Safety in Your Endoscopy Unit course - either a live offering of the course (visit the ASGE event calendar to view upcoming dates) or the on-demand version available in GI Leap are acceptable.

EURP honoree status is renewable with reapplication and this includes fulfilling the Quality Course requirement. Renewing applicants have the option to use the Improving Quality and Safety in Your Endoscopy Unit course or GI Unit Leadership course to fulfill the program requirement - either a live offering of the course (visit the ASGE event calendar to view upcoming dates) or the on-demand version available in GI Leap are acceptable.
